ITINERARY
DAY 01: CUSCO - URCOS - TINQUI - UPIS
We will depart from Cusco early in the morning by bus. On our way to Tinqui (3900m), we will pass by small farms and enjoy the beautiful scenery. After a small picnic in Tinqui, we will begin our hike to the community of Upis (4400m). Along the way, we will meet local families who will show us examples of their textile work, created to honor nature and Andean symbols. We will spend the night at the Upis campsite, and enjoy the hot springs (optional).

DAY 02: UPIS - ARAPA PASS - YANA COCHA - EXTREME AUSANGATE PASS - AUSANGATE LAKE
Breakfast. We will ascend to the first pass called Arapa (4800m). From there, we will descend to Yanacocha and have a picnic. Our route continues ascending to the Ausangate Extreme pass (4850m) and ends on the shore of Lake Ausangate (4650m) where we will camp.

DAY 03: AUSANGATE LAKE - PALOMANI PASS - JAMPA
The third day is both the most beautiful and the most challenging; we'll begin by ascending to the highest pass of this trek, Palomani (5200m). From here, we'll have an exceptional view of the Ausangate mountains and glaciers. Afterward, we'll descend to the Finaya Pampa valley and finally arrive at our campsite, Jampa (4700m).

DAY 04: JAMPA - CAMPAIGN PASS - PACCHANTA
The highlight of today is definitely the spectacular ascent to Campa Pass (5100m). We'll also pass several lovely lagoons on the way to our campsite at Pacchanta (4350m). There, we'll visit the hot springs and enjoy a traditional dinner.

DAY 05: PACCHANTA - TINQUI - CUSCO
Breakfast. We will walk towards the village of Tinqui (3900m), from where we will take our tourist transport back to Cusco (3 hrs). On the way, we will visit Tipon or Saylla and have a typical dish of the region, such as cuy (guinea pig) or chicharrón (grilled pork) (*included).
