Chicanna, Mexique

Chicanná était une ville Maya qui a été construite pendant la période classique (600 après J.-C. à 830 après J.-C.). Le site a été nommé d'après son bâtiment le plus célèbre, la Structure II, qui signifie "Maison de la Bouche du Serpent" en Maya. Dans la langue Maya, chi signifie "bouche", can signifie "serpent" et na signifie "maison". Le site est situé à deux kilomètres à l'ouest de Becán dans l'état mexicain de Campeche sur la péninsule du Yucatán. Il fait partie des 45 autres sites de ruines situés dans cette zone.
