Geyser in eruzione, cascate ghiacciate e la famosa laguna glaciale di Jokulsarlon
GIORNO 1: REYKJAVIK
Arrivo a Reykjavik e trasferimento in Flybussen in hotel. Sistemazione e pernottamento.
GIORNO 2: REYKJAVIK - CIRCOLO D’ORO -
Prima colazione in hotel. Incontro con il tour leader e partenza per il celebre “Circolo d’Oro”, uno degli itinerari più iconici d’Islanda.
La prima tappa sarà il Parco Nazionale di Thingvellir, antico sito del parlamento islandese e luogo unico al mondo dove è possibile osservare la separazione tra la placca tettonica nordamericana e quella euroasiatica.
Si prosegue verso la spettacolare cascata Gullfoss, dove in inverno si può ammirare l’affascinante contrasto tra acqua e ghiaccio, e successivamente nell’area geotermica di Geysir, dove il geyser Strokkur erutta regolarmente ogni 5–10 minuti.
Al termine, proseguimento verso l’hotel nel sud dell’isola. Cena e pernottamento. In serata, con condizioni meteo favorevoli, possibilità di avvistare l’aurora boreale direttamente nei pressi dell’hotel.
GIORNO 3: JÖKULSÁRLÓN – DIAMOND BECH
Prima colazione in hotel. Partenza verso il sud-est dell’Islanda in direzione della celebre laguna glaciale di Jökulsárlón.
Formatasi circa 60 anni fa, la laguna è alimentata dal distacco di iceberg dalla lingua del ghiacciaio Breiðamerkurjökull, creando un paesaggio straordinario. Durante il periodo invernale non è prevista la navigazione, ma lo scenario, con i suoi blocchi di ghiaccio dalle sfumature bianche e blu, offre comunque un colpo d’occhio indimenticabile. Con un po’ di fortuna, sarà possibile avvistare anche alcune foche.
Sosta a Diamond Beach, dove i frammenti di ghiaccio trasportati dalle onde si adagiano sulla spiaggia nera, creando un suggestivo effetto simile a diamanti.
Cena e pernottamento in hotel.
GIORNO 4: SKOFAGOSS – VULCANO EYJAFJALLAJÖKULL – SECRET LAGOON
Prima colazione in hotel. Partenza per la visita delle celebri cascate della costa sud: Skógafoss e Seljalandsfoss, entrambe tra le più spettacolari del Paese.
Durante il percorso si potrà ammirare anche il vulcano Eyjafjallajökull, noto per l’eruzione del 2010 che causò disagi al traffico aereo internazionale.
Prima del rientro a Reykjavik, sosta alla suggestiva Secret Lagoon, dove sarà possibile concedersi un bagno caldo in un contesto naturale unico.
All’arrivo in città, breve tour panoramico per scoprire le principali attrazioni della capitale. Sistemazione in hotel e pernottamento.
GIORNO 5: REYKJAVIK - RIENTRO
Colazione in hotel. Trasferimento in aeroporto con bus navetta e rientro in Italia.
